REMOVAL SKIN DISCOLORATION

Removal of skin discoloration
Discolorations are usually created as a result of intense exposure to sunlight, however, they may also accompany man from birth. Treating discolorations is very difficult and slow. There are many methods to remove them. One of these is laser therapy IPL / RF. The method of IPL / RF used by me heats the specialized melanocyte cells that contain pigment (melanin) causing their destruction. The number of melanocytes is more or less the same in all races of people, and different skin colors are the result of activity of these cells, not their quantity. The formation of melanin is dependent on many different factors. These include for example:

• Ultraviolet rays (one of the main causes of discoloration)

• Hormones (estrogen, thyroid hormones)

• Metals (copper, iron, gold, silver)

• PregnancyOccurrence of non-uniform skin color is the result of:

• Excessive number of melanocytes in the epidermis

• Overproduction of melanin in the correct number of pigment cells

The best results are obtained in the treatment of:

• freckles (ephelides) - spots with a diameter less than 0.5 cm. They arise in the area of skin most exposed to UV rays. Often occurring in red-haired people with light skin complexion, which indicates their genetic basis. Some freckles are visible even without exposure to the sun, some darken under the influence of UV rays. In the case of freckles melanocytes in the base layer of epidermis tend to overgrow, but their number does not change

• drug-induced discoloration

• lentigo spots (lentigines) – Spots of 0.5-1cm in diameter. They are the result not only of the increasing number of melanocytes in the base layer of the epidermis, but also the result of the presence of chromatographs filled with pigment in the dermis. They appear mainly on the face, neck and forearms. There are two types of lentigo spots: one caused by sun exposure and the other by acne

• Chloasma (melasma) - is an acquired, chronic discoloration of face, most frequently appearing in women. They locate around the forehead, cheeks, nose, upper lip, and sometimes in the area of the mandible. Probably the main cause of those spots are female hormones, and sometimes contraceptives or pregnancy

• Melanosis Riehli - a condition characterized by abnormal deposition of melanins or sometimes other pigments in the skin. The spots frequently occur in middle-aged or older women on the forehead, temples, cheeks or neck. In most cases the colour of spots changes to dark gray or brown. The reasons for their formation are typically cosmetics containing photosensitive substances.

Please know that:
• You should be prepared that the discoloration will become dark in color 'dark chocolate'

• The day after the treatment a process of gentle exfoliation will begin and it will  approximately last 2-3 weeks

• A series of 3-5 treatments repeated approximately every 7-10 days is recommended

• You should not expose your skin between the treatments to sunlight or tanning

• You should also use brightening creams and creams with a high UV filter
